What does it mean to be on the AWG team?
Since our doors opened, American Workforce Group has aimed high to be the top resource for local staffing. Each day we start by asking; "What can we do better?, more?, different?" We use our creativity, knowledge and dedication so our network of companies, employees and job seekers benefit quickly.
To summarize, and for fun, here is a quick list of What it means to be on the AWG team:
1. It means HONESTY. We do not pitch empty promises of grandeur, over sell and under deliver. No, we say and do what we mean. Don't get us wrong, we're positive and hopeful, but we are first and foremost honest.
2. It means HARD WORK. How can you ask 100% from your workers? Give 110%! And that's what we do. Above and beyond is the only way we operate.
3. It means PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP. People are not numbers. Companies are not generic. Each piece of the staffing puzzle is unique and we take the time needed to develop a true understand of each.
4. It means RESPECT. Job hunting can be tough. Searching for the right employee can be just plain hard. We understand both sides all too well and make sure to be understanding in all our actions. Time and effort are precious things and we respect everyone's.
5. It means SEAHAWKS. Yep, the internal AWG team is all Blue, Green and Gray on Blue Friday! GooooOOOO Hawks!
6. It means LOCAL. Each of us does our part connecting with local resources, engaging in our community and giving back our good fortune. We are nothing without our workforce and we are a proud member of our neighborhood. We never forget our roots.
7. It means DOGs. Sorry cat lovers, it's not that we don't like them too, we just happen to be all big dog lovers. They truly are AWG's best friend :)
And lastly... Being on the AWG Team...
8. Means FUN! We start and end our days with a positive mindset and it really shows. We respect and enjoy our team, we're proud of our workers, we appreciate our companies AND we have blast!
So, that's it for now. Hope you enjoyed learning a bit about us and what it means to be on the AWG team.
Have a very happy weekend,
- AWG Team

Why it never hurts to speak with a Recruiter
Why it never hurts to speak with a Recruiter
Let's give the classic example - you start job hunting, send out MILLIONS of resumes and applications and you FINALLY land a position. You start going on your happy way with your new position and then all of a sudden you start getting more call backs about other applications (yes, Murphy's Law applies to job hunting). What should you do?
A. "No thank you, I have found employment."
B. "Thanks, for right now I am pretty set on what I found, can I have your contact info just in case?"
C. "Thank you for thinking of me, I did find employment but am curious to hearing more about your opportunity."
Answer : C (the answer is always C btw)
Why C? Here are the facts:
1. You took alllll that time to apply - you should explore the benefit of your work
2. It's confidential, asking questions does not violate your commitment to your current position
3. You are in the BEST circumstance to job hunt because (1) you're not desperate and (2) you have a job and (3) you're not desperate
4. What is the worst that can happen? You have two scenarios; (1) you land an even better job or (2) you reinforce your decision with your current one
5. It is always important to know your worth, be aware of options and never close doors.
Keep this in mind the next time a Recruiter comes a callin'

Get the Facts : Staffing Info You Might Not Know!
Taking a temporary job does not mean you have stalled your
future.

That is better odds than an interview!
Take the chance to (1) prove your skills, (2) get hands-on experience, (3) build your network and references, and (4) IMPROVE your odds of hire!
