Four Healthy = Happy Elements:
1. Eat Well. Regularly eating fresh fruits and vegetables will show your body the love and nourishment it regularly needs. Before you know it you'll start craving healthier choices and avoiding the processed ones. Though, it is always okay to splurge every now and then. :)
2. Get Sweaty. Challenge your body. Exercising even 30 - 45 minutes a few times a week will improve your energy level, sleep patterns and digestion. Not to mention your body will reflect your effort. You'll get a natural high afterwards and you'll end your day feeling great!
3. Relax. It is okay, no, it is necessary to do nothing sometimes. It can be scheduled or spontaneous, but when you find a window in your schedule to slow down and do something that calms you - do it! The idea is to unwind, so make sure whatever it is that you do does not add to your stress level but reduces it.
4. Good Sleep. This is vital to sanity. "The other 9 to 5" is just as important as your day time 9 to 5. Make sure that (1) your bed is comfortable, (2) you go to bed at a decent, regular time, and (3) distractions are turned off. All work and no rebut is not a good recipe;
get good sleep and your body and mind will thank you!
