Technology.. friend or foe?

Technology has exponentially grown our resources, connected communities and educated masses. But sometimes don't you just want to throw the darn thing out the window? (just today I had this urge)

Just like with anything new, their are benefits and barriers created. For the staffing world
, we love that we connect quickly to a focus demographic, assess skills and move faster than ever to fill job orders. On the other side of the coin we do miss the quality of in-person evaluation and many times peoples strengths are not reflected through their electronic profiles. The ol' fashion come-in and apply does have great benefits too.

We at AWG try to use technology to our advantage while never disregarding the importance of the personal side of staffing. We want our candidates to feel knowledgeable, prepared and excited about employment opportunities and we definitely don't want to miss out on great workers!

We encourage all to embrace technology, make it a friend and learn the tricks to having it help and not hinder your job hunting process. Local libraries and employment support sites are great resources for helping the community brush up on their tech skills and gain the needed knowledge to participate in the current job market.

Happy Monday and Happy Job Hunting Friends!
